Ghosts, with Scottish accents, were heard SWEARING in a 931-year-old fortress near Hadrian’s Wall, a paranormal expert claims.
Tony Ferguson visited Carlisle Castle with his team of ghoul hunters.
It was built by William II in 1092, and it played a key role in the Wars of Scottish Independence in the 13th and 14th centuries.
Tony was left spooked by the eerie voices he heard in the English Heritage castle.
The 38-year-old said they had thick Scottish twangs.

He said: “We caught several unexplained things here.
“And I must admit, I was blown away by the activity we had in such a small amount of time here.”
While in the stone corridors of the castle in the centre of Carlisle, Cumbria, he said he heard a male voice say “Go” twice.
Then, while in one of the rooms of the fort, Tony claimed he heard a muffled noise in a deep Scottish accent.
But then, he said a female voice said: “F*ck you” at them.
Oddly, he said a cat could be heard in the castle, too.
Tony, of Lymington, Hampshire, said: “One male voice responded, I’m unsure what was being said.
“But sounds like someone with a deep Scottish accent.”
He added: “A couple of minutes later a female voice was caught laughing and then she said ‘F*ck you’.
“Again it sounded like someone with a Scottish accent.”
Tony continued: “Then we heard a cat.
“This was in the upper tower. The interesting thing is we were high up in the tower —you could clearly hear it in the room with us.
“Also, the castle is in a busy town centre, and it would be impossible to hear a cat from below that high up.
“Overall, there were so many things we could not explain, and with some of the voices caught, some were English and some were Scottish, and many lives of Scottish were taken and English with this castle.”
“We are looking to return early next year to set up a few experiments plus set up CCTV to see what we capture.”
