Fifteen thrillseekers were left stranded on a fairground ride for nearly an hour due to a sudden power cut.
They were seen spinning around high up in the air after the park was plunged into darkness.
A pendulum ride behind it also comes to a gradual stop.
A fellow guest filmed the horror moment on their mobile phone.
In the next scene, the thrill-seekers are seen strapped into their seats while waiting for a rescue team to arrive.
Meanwhile, dozens of people look on from the ground.
Around 15 people were trapped on the spinning ride at the time of the blackout.
The emergency services responded quickly and managed to rescue the riders with no injuries reported.
The blackout took place at the Viva Guayaquil amusement park in the Ecuadorian city of the same name.
Entry to the park is free for residents for a limited time and the funfair will continue operating until 28 January.
The park has around 15 rides in total.
Starting next week, each ride will have its own generator in case of any future power outages in Guayaquil during the festival.
The park has not issued a statement regarding the incident and the authorities have yet to provide details regarding the cause of the power cut.
Last Wednesday (3 Jan), seven thrillseekers were left stranded 100 feet in the air after a rollercoaster broke down near Bogota, Colombia.
Six adults and one minor were left trapped in the air for around half an hour.
The ride was ascending up a steep incline when it stopped dead, leaving the riders in a near vertical position.
The rollercoaster, named Krater, stopped working at the Parque del Café in Montenegro.
Following the incident, a park spokesperson reiterated their commitment to public safety and praised the actions of the emergency workers who took part in the rescue.
