The three “scumbags” who sliced open Jeff Stelling’s Range Rover Sport door while he was doing a fan meet-and-greet still haven’t been caught.
Yobs ripped a huge hole in his £80,000 motor in a hotel car park while he was a mile-and-a-half away at a theatre.
The TalkSPORT presenter got back from the tour even and found it damaged.
He was left fuming when he got there just 15 minutes after it happened.
But the trio of offenders – clad in dark clothing with their faces covered – had fled and he immediately reported it to cops.
But six weeks on, the police still haven’t caught the crooks who did it on 11 February, as reported by Need To Know.
Ex-Sky Sports Gillette Soccer Saturday host Stelling, 68, had left his SUV at the Casa Hotel in Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
He was doing his An Evening with Jeff Stelling event – one of 42 he’s doing across the UK this year – at the Winding Wheel Theatre in the town.
He was doing the event for fans and was joined on stage by former Sky Sports colleague Bianca Westwood.
The TV and radio favourite then chatted to fans about this career.
They paid £32.70 a ticket or the premium price of £52.80 to meet him as well.
But when he returned to the car park he found the gaping rip in the metal.
Stelling said: “Thanks Chesterfield.
“Anyone who knows the scumbags who did this to my car while I was trying to entertain people please let me know.
“What the f*ck has happened to people.”
A Derbyshire Police said today (Mar 25): “Enquiries are ongoing.
“We’d urge anyone with any information to please contact us.”
The force spokesman added: “We were called at 11.45pm, on Sunday 11 February to reports that a Range Rover had been damaged in the car park of the Casa Hotel in Lockoford Lane.
“The crime had occurred around 15 minutes before the call and the offenders were not reported to be on the scene.
“A description of the three people involved – reported as being three youths in dark clothing and wearing face coverings – was passed to local officers to check if the offenders were still in the area.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact the force with reference 24000086940.”
