When a family member went to use the public loo, they were shocked to discover the red and black snake.
The reptile hissed at them so they immediately closed the door and alerted the authorities.
The Taipei City Animal Protection Office sent a team to the park who identified it as a non-venomous red-banded species.
It was safely captured and later released in its natural habitat, as reported by Need To Know.
Animal protection official, Tang Junyuan said the species is common in low-altitude areas in the country and that people should not panic if they come across one.
There was a total of 3,650 snake-related incidents reported to the Taiwanese department last year.
The most common snakes in the country are the bamboo pit viper, the greater green snake and the square-headed cat snake.
Authorities reminded nature lovers to always wear long sleeves and trousers, as well as covered footwear.
If you are bitten by a snake, you are advised to remain calm, remember the reptile’s characteristics and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
