Looking for something special to pop the question this summer and got a few million to spare?
An “exquisitely curated” auction of rare jewels is set to take place in June – which includes a golden age Harry Winston diamond expected to fetch close to $2m.
The 177-lot also features designs of incredible cut and clarity from Fred Paris and Van Cleef & Arpels.

But the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the Harry Winston ring.
Circa 1967, it has a marquise-cut type diamond that weighs 29.29 carats.
The ring is also flanked by tapered-baguette cut diamonds.
Auctioneers expect it will bring in anywhere from $1.3m-1.9m.
The sale itself is presented by a “distinguished European family” – though they are not named.
Dubbed the ‘King of Diamonds’, Harry Winston’s company was founded in 1932 and is favourited by the rich and famous, with the clientele including royalty and Hollywood stars.
Another ring on offer from the same brand is a 1968 sapphire and diamond ring at 25.51ct.

It is also more affordable… though not exactly a bargain, with an estimated offer range of $250,000-350,000.
There’s also a Harry Winston bracelet set between $180,000- 280,000, as reported by Need To Know.

If you don’t fancy carrying a heavy ring on your finger, there are some other options.
This includes the Fred Paris 47.7ct sapphire and diamond foliate design necklace at $150,000-250,000.
Or splash your cash on a Boucheron emerald and diamond brooch – one of the cheaper items at $80,000-$120,000.

The event is being organised by Bonhams in New York on 6 June.
