A 63-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy after travelling to a warzone for IVF.
Little Sebastian came into the world prematurely weighing almost 2kg (4lb 7oz).
His mum Flavia Alvaro, who will turn 64 on 24 October, is the oldest new mother in Italy.

Sebastian was born via caesarean section at 31 weeks and four days in Lido di Camaiore near Pisa on Monday (3 Jun) .
Flavia , who works at a library-museum in nearby Viareggio, had made an earlier attempt to carry a pregnancy to term.
She went to a clinic in Kyiv two years ago for IVF because under Ukrainian law, there is no age limit for the treatment.
However, at 14 weeks, she miscarried.
Last autumn, she returned to Ukraine – despite the war – to try again, this time successfully.
Alvaro had wanted to be a mother for a long time, as reported on Need To Know.
She said from her hospital bed: “I am so happy.”
Alvaro had placenta praevia – where the cervix is completely covered at the end of pregnancy – but no other problems.
Her gynaecologist described her pregnancy as “peaceful”.
She was given a C-section after her blood pressure rose and medics decided they needed to intervene.
Little Sebastian has a maternal grandmother, who is 93.
His biological parents are two young donors – a male lifeguard and a female swimming instructor from the same pool.
He remains in the neonatal unit and as soon as he reaches the right weight, his mum will take him home.
