Shocking pictures show a truck partially swallowed by a sinkhole opening up as a road collapsed.
Officers responded to a solo vehicle traffic crash on Avenue 13, west of Granada Drive in Madera County, California Monday morning (10 June).
Images show the trailer attached at the rear of the truck submerged by the sinkhole.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries, and there is currently a hard closure in place, with the road being expected to be closed for several weeks.
The collapse also caused damage to the city sewer line that lies beneath the roadway, reports Need To Know.
While drinking water is not affected, officials have said that limiting use of water will assist the repair efforts and prevent further complications.
The shocking snaps garnered attention online, with one user commenting: “Oh my!! I’m glad the driver only sustained minor injuries! What are the odds the trailer would fall into a sewer hole.”
Another person commented: “I can only imagine the confusion on the trucker face.”
“That’s not a crash that’s an incident! Looks like Cali gonna pay for that one,” wrote another user.
Someone else wrote: “The potholes are getting out of hand!”
“Thankful it was the back trailer and not a passenger car! Seems everyone was ok!” said another viewer.
