Ferocious winds have caused a bizarre upside-down waterfall that “defies the laws of gravity”.
Footage filmed by an onlooker shows water moving upwards instead of flowing down.
The phenomenon reportedly happened after strong winds made their way through Du Toitskloof Pass, in South Africa, on Monday, (7 July), as reported by Need To Know.

In the clip, the water battles against strong winds, sweeping to the left before disappearing into a mist along the rocky cliff.
The video was also shared on TikTok, where it has gathered over 200,000 views, thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.
One person said: “That’s not a waterfall, it’s a waterfly.”
Ricardo added: “That poor waterfall just wants to get to the bottom but the wind won’t let him.”
Zay commented: “That’s not a waterfall that’s water climb.”
Another user wrote: “Those winds are defying the law’s of gravity.”

Du Toitskloof Pass is situated in the Western Cape province of South Africa, on the regional route R101 between Paarl and Worcester.
According to reports, it was initially an animal track and a road was built around it during World War II.
The pass is home to rocky, steep cliffs, mountains, walking and road tracks, as well as the famous 200m Huguenot Tunnel.
