Iconic comedian Troy Hawke, renowned for his distinctive moustache and hilarious antics, had sunseekers in stitches as he delved into the quirky habits of Brits on all-inclusive holidays.
Recently, Troy, a character brought to life by comedian Milo McCabe, visited a TUI resort in Turkey.
This trip followed a study revealing that nine out of ten people admit to behaving differently when everything is included in their holiday package.

The survey also highlighted that a similar proportion of people try foods they wouldn’t normally eat at home, with seven out of ten surprising themselves with unusual food combinations.

Embracing this spirit, Troy roamed around the pool, engaging sunbathers in lively conversations and encouraging them to participate in quintessential all-inclusive activities like water polo and aqua aerobics.
In his typical humorous fashion, Troy urged one tourist to be adventurous with his buffet choices. Upon hearing the gentleman had a mix of meats for dinner, Troy quipped, “You have the United Nations on one plate.”
He also recommended daring culinary combos such as “sushi and beans, lobster and chips, taco and souvlaki.”
Beyond food, Troy encouraged holidaymakers to socialize and find common ground with their fellow sunbathers. He entertained guests by guessing their nationalities and even playfully teased participants in a game of ‘sticks’.
His sharp wit was on full display when he commented on a man’s pedicure, joking, “Your toenails look wonderful. That looks like the type of pedicure you had while you were asleep.”
The TUI survey, which prompted Troy’s visit, involved 1,000 all-inclusive holidaymakers. It revealed that mixing meals at the buffet and befriending other tourists are popular pastimes, though 43% admitted to judging others’ food choices.
Additionally, 38% cheekily confessed to sneaking food back to their rooms, despite it being against the rules.
Learning something new is another common holiday activity, with 15% of respondents taking the opportunity to gain new skills. The study found that 76% of holidaymakers dress up for the evening buffet, and nearly 40% prefer to reserve the same table for every meal.
Moreover, 55% are willing to wear outfits abroad that they wouldn’t consider at home, and a third are more comfortable showing skin in swimwear than they would be in the UK.
Reading by the pool is a favorite activity for 29% of holidaymakers, with 22% admitting they often indulge in enough food to put themselves to bed early.
Card games are a holiday staple for 18%, the same percentage who enjoy dancing more abroad than they do in Britain. Evening entertainment leads 16% of participants to let loose, and 14% confessed that karaoke is a holiday habit.
Group activities like water volleyball and aqua aerobics are also enjoyed by 18%.
Interestingly, about one in five (18%) admitted they look forward to holidays all year, only to end up complaining about the heat once they arrive.

The escapades of Troy Hawke went viral on social media, particularly on the Archbishop of Banterbury’s channels. Peter Cross shared on TikTok,
“I summoned my inner Troy Hawke and said ‘yes’ to water polo in Marrakech recently. Cut my feet up so badly I couldn’t walk for the rest of the week. But it was the best 45 mins of the holiday.”

Shelley commented, “I’m off to an all-inclusive next week @Troy_Hawke and shall try to remember your guidance.”
