An HR expert has revealed how royalists can increase their chances of bagging a job with the Royal Family.
Marcos Tonin has analysed the Windsor’s job adverts, often posted online, to give you the best chance at bagging the positions.
He believes that the British royals, led by King Charles, have shown a ‘modernising trend’ by posting job openings on platforms like LinkedIn.

Positions such as ‘Specialist in Correspondence’ and ‘CEO of Kensington Palace’ have caught attention, not only for their unusual nature but also for their rigorous and well-defined requirements.
The expert has shared his top tips on how to prepare for the interviews in these jobs and stand out in the highly competitive selection process, if you dream of working alongside the royals.
“The first step is understanding that these roles demand more than just technical skills,” Marcos, from Brazil, told Need To Know.

“The Royal Family is looking for professionals who embody the values of the British monarchy.
“It’s a combination of technical skills, behavioural attributes, cultural adaptability, and, of course, a genuine passion for supporting such an iconic institution.
“Candidates must demonstrate emotional intelligence, a refined demeanour, and interpersonal skills that reflect elegance and discretion.
“If you align all these points in your interview, you’ll have a great chance of impressing William and Kate.”
For the role of ‘Specialist in Correspondence’, the job description highlights the need for “excellent communication skills” and “a passion for writing”.
Marcos said: “Candidates should showcase their previous experiences in personalised communication, high-level writing, or customer service.

“In the interview, it’s important to demonstrate enthusiasm for the role and its impact on the relationship between the monarchy and the public.
“And to provide examples of situations where you handled sensitive or high-volume communications.”
As for the position of CEO of Kensington Palace, which involves leading a team of 60 people and working closely with William and Kate, he pointed out that emotional intelligence and leadership abilities are key.
He said: “They’re looking for a leader who can balance innovation with respect for tradition.
“It’s crucial to show that you can inspire teams, make strategic decisions, and handle constant pressure in a highly public environment.”
Additionally, he recommends preparing for behavioural questions, such as “Tell us about a time when you had to manage a delicate conflict” or “How would you react to working within strict protocols?”
He said: “Candidates should use the STAR method: situation, task, action, result, to structure their responses.

“Another essential aspect is the candidate’s demeanour during the interview.
“You must demonstrate impeccable behaviour, both verbally and non-verbally.
“Maintaining eye contact, standing tall, and speaking clearly and confidently are all non-negotiable.”
To stand out among other candidates, he also suggests adding a personal touch.
He said: “Although the role is formal, recruiters are seeking individuals who bring fresh ideas.
“For example, for the CEO position, suggesting ways to modernise internal communication or bridge the monarchy with younger generations could set you apart.

“These situations reinforce that AI hasn’t yet reached the levels required by the monarchy, and while tools like ChatGPT are often seen as a solution, they haven’t yet won over the more traditional figures.
“Who, above all, value engagement.
“For these positions, lived experience, cultural understanding, and human qualities are irreplaceable.
“Technology can assist, but it’s the human touch, along with the know-how to navigate highly protocol-driven and traditional environments, that truly makes a difference.”
