An armed suspected mobster was shot dead by cops in the street after he was allegedly trying to extort cash from a business owner.
He was blasted after pointing his gun at officers arriving on the scene.
The police patrol had arrived in the area to investigate a killing that occurred minutes before.

Cops then spotted the gunman holding up the shop owner.
CCTV footage showed the suspect holding a gun while allegedly scamming the local trader.
Four cops then passed the crime scene on three motorbikes.
One of the police bikes turned around to confront the suspect.
An officer jumped off the back of the motorcycle and pointed his service weapon at the alleged extortionist.
The suspect turned to run and seemingly raised his firearm to the cops.
In response, both officers appeared to fire at the gunman at the same time.
The killed man, identified as Carlos Alberto V.A., 23, was fatally shot in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, southwest of Quinto.
The store owner told investigators that the gunman was demanding an extortion payment when the police patrol passed by.
The victim said he identified himself as a member of the cartel Los Tiguerones.
The police stated that the suspect had a criminal record related to extortion.
He was also suspected of being involved in a killing that occurred in the area minutes before, as reported by Need To Know.
The authorities said the officers used legitimate force against the armed suspect.
The police said on social media: “After seeing the criminal attacking citizens with a firearm at the commercial establishment, officers neutralised him.
“The suspect attempted to attack the safety of the officers.”
The investigation into the shooting at around 8.30am on Saturday (25 Jan) is ongoing.
