A hero driver has been hailed for swerving to prevent a worse accident after a school bus’s brakes were suspected of failing.
Marvin Colindres’ quick-thinking actions made sure the horror smash wasn’t more severe.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows how the out-of-control coach mounted the pavement at breakneck speed.

It careered towards the entrance to a paint business, snapping a rope as it hurtled past a utility pole by a whisker
It briefly became airborne as it mounted another kerb, and smashed the gate open a split second later.
It hit the metal structure with such force that the spare tyre could be seen flying off the back of the vehicle.
Three girls were reportedly injured in the accident yesterday (20 Mar), as reported by Need To Know.
They were treated at the scene in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and later taken to a medical facility.
Luckily, their injuries are reported to be minor and they are said to be doing well.
The case is under investigation, but preliminary reports blame brake failure for the accident.
Driver Marvin told how he swerved off the road in a bid to avoid an even worse accident.
One local said: “Driver of the year.”

Another added: “Fence was the life saver.”
A third said: “The hand holding on to dear life in the window.

“Poor kids. I am very happy everyone is okay.”
