A photographer has been hailed a hero after he put a suspected crook in a chokehold when he allegedly tried to steal his camera.
The man was filmed lying on the ground with his arm wrapped around the neck of the suspected thief.
He could be seen in evident distress as he tried to free himself from his captor’s tight grip.

As he tried to wriggle free, the photographer barked at him in Spanish: “Relax, for f*ck’s sake.”
His e-scooter could be seen lying on the ground next to him as onlookers formed a circle around the pair.
They refused to help the alleged crook and hung around to make sure he did not escape until the police arrived.
Eventually, a couple of officers arrived at the scene in Barcelona, Spain, as reported by Need To Know.
One grabbed the tracksuited young man by the scruff of his top and plonked him down against a large plant pot.
He appeared worn out and utterly resigned as the assembled crowd gave the photographer a round of applause.
The police then cuffed his hands behind his back and led him away.
The man he foolishly targeted is reportedly a Chinese national who takes photographs of Chinese couples travelling through Europe.
Witnesses say he was handling his equipment when the suspect, who is of North African origin, approached him in an apparent bid to snatch his camera.
After realising what was going on, he managed to floor the young man and put him in a chokehold in a matter of seconds.
Cristina asked: “Is he a photographer or a bodyguard?”

Cristian commented: “You are a hero.”
And Taywer wrote: “I love happy endings.”
