Rats the size of cats have been spotted scampering along the beach in a town popular with British expats and tourists.
One of the huge rodents was seen scurrying across the sand.
An onlooker filmed it on their mobile phone and could be heard shrieking in fright as a second giant rat darted out from underneath a walkway.

The startling scenes were filmed on Fuengirola Beach in Fuengirola, south west of Málaga, Spain.
It happened yesterday (17 Jun), as reported by Need To Know.
About 50,000 Brits head to the resort city every year on their holidays.
Local woman Susan said: “Yes, it’s incredible how many there are – and not just on the beach at night, where I see loads of them.

“During the day they stroll from shop to shop right in the town centre.”
Joha added: “And those ones are small – at dawn, some come out that are way bigger. That’s nothing compared to the ones I’ve seen.”
Emmanuel said: “Rats are the worst – they carry so many diseases. And if they’re on the beach, that’s even worse.”
Lucho countered: “At least they don’t leave the streets full of filth, they don’t throw cigarette butts, they don’t pollute, they don’t steal, they don’t kill.”

Nora added: “There’s one good thing – they don’t waste the shower water like tourists do, and no one keeps an eye on that.”
Rose said: “They’re more civilised than a lot of people.”
Alberto said: “A little animal like any other.”
Antonia said: “It’s normal if all the stray cats are neutered and are fed kibble.”
And Cristóbal said: “There have always been rats on the beach at night, so why be surprised now?”
