A five day old stray kitten that was trapped down a 13ft hole has been saved after a seven hour long rescue mission.
Little Red was dropped down a tiny gap in the brickwork at an abandoned property.
The young moggy alerted passersby to his distress by crying out for help.

It is believed that the mother of the stray cat must have dropped the baby down the 13ft hole.
The kitten was found on wasteland on Stafford Street, Walsall.
Members from the Stray Cat Rescue Team West Midlands attended the scene after Stacey, a local who looks after strays in the area contacted them.

Attending workers knew that the mission required specialist help with the West Midlands Fire Service being called.
Two fire engines and over 10 fire fighters arrived at the location and got straight to work on saving the kitten’s life.
Due to the huge drop and tiny 5cm access point, the emergency service workers were forced to drill through the brick to create a bigger opening.
The excruciating and delicate mission went on into the night with the crew working for over seven hours.

Finally, in the dark the kitten was brought to the surface and is now in the hands of the rescue team’s vet nurse Abi.
The rescue took place Thursday (31 Jul), as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson for the Stray Cat Rescue Team stated: “Little Red is fighting hard to stay alive and now in the best hands with Vet Nurse Abi.

“Meanwhile the biggest thanks goes to West Mids Fire Service, Walsall station and the Specialist Tech Rescue team and Wednesbury station.
“Honestly no words – you battled on for seven hours, the end result being one little life saved from a 13 ft drop with only a 5cm workspace.
“You are amazing.
“Now it’s in his hands to fight hard, what amazing humans.”
