More than 40 rough sleepers have set up camp on Britain’s most famous shopping street.
A long line of makeshift beds and people experiencing homelessness was seen.
Some are in groups talking, while others appear to be asleep.

It was filmed after dark on Oxford Street, central London.
The world-renowned shopping hub is one of Europe’s busiest retail streets, with hundreds of thousands of daily visitors and hundreds of shops.
It is one of the most popular destinations in London for tourists with many department stores, such as John Lewis and Marks and Spencer, having their flagship outlet there, as reported by Need To Know.
A commentary on the video clip said: “Ten o’clock on a Thursday – kicking off.
“The streets of London.
“There’s about 40 people here.”
Locals were shocked.
One said: “I hadn’t been to Oxford Street in years since I mostly shop online now and wow, the way it smells.

“Let’s just say, the vibe has changed.
“After hearing about all the phone snatching and pickpocketing, I thought I knew what to expect.
“But I wasn’t ready for the number of homeless people I saw when I went to an evening event.
“For a second, I genuinely thought I’d landed in downtown LA.”
Another said: “Outrageous to see homeless people with cleaner bedsheets than mine.”

Someone else said: “That’s nuts.
“I lived in London 20 years ago, worked in Bond Street
“It was nothing like that.”
And another added: “London is a mess right now.”
