A professional escort claims her work has made her a better mum – and says her child even knows what she does for a living.

Elizabeth Romanova has been escorting for more than a decade, starting as a single mum with a young child to support.

Now in her early 30s, and with a 15-year-old daughter, she has lifted the lid on how she believes the controversial role makes her a better parent – and why it is important for her to be open about her career.

“I have one child, who is the absolute centre of my world and, while she’s not old enough to know the details of my work, she does know what I do for a living,” Elizabeth told Need To Know.

“I’ve always been committed to raising her to be open-minded, compassionate, and accepting of all kinds of people and their choices.

“Lying to her about my work would go against everything I want to teach her about kindness, respect, and empowerment.”

Elizabeth has been escorting since the age of 18, when she was a single mother with a young daughter to support.

She said: “I was still in school when I began, and I eventually left university to pursue this work full-time.

“As a single mother with a young child, I needed to find a way to earn a solid income with flexible, manageable hours.

“Escorting offered me that freedom.

“It allowed me to provide for my daughter, be present in her life, and offer her a stable, loving home.

“And financially, it’s also allowed me to create the life I always envisioned for my daughter and myself.”

Elizabeth, who is from Northamptonshire, says the most empowering aspect of her work is the “control” she gets to have over her life as a result.

She said: “I decide how I work, when I work, and with whom I work.

“That freedom is invaluable, especially as a mother.

“I can take time off to be with my daughter whenever I need to, travel with her, and make sure she has everything she deserves without worrying about financial security.

“Being an escort has made me stronger, more independent, and more capable of providing a beautiful life for my child.”

Elizabeth says her “proudest role” is that of parent – and she considers herself a role model for her teenage daughter, showing her “what strength and independence looks like in a woman”.

She said: “That matters to me deeply.

“It’s [escorting] a profession that requires intelligence, resilience, and compassion.

“And I genuinely believe those are qualities that make me a great mother, too.”

While she has received judgement due to the nature of her work, Elizabeth doesn’t let the criticism bother her – and insists her work isn’t “shallow or soulless”.

Elizabeth, who advertises her services on Vivastreet, added: “I have chosen this path with full agency and purpose.

“There’s still a lot of stigma out there, but I’ve built a strong sense of self.

“I don’t internalise anyone’s judgement.

“I know exactly who I am and why I do what I do and that clarity is very powerful.

“Sex work is valid work.

“It takes strength, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart.

“I’m proud of my journey, both as an escort and as a mother.

“I hope more people begin to see the depth and dignity in what we do.”
