Superstar rapper Bad Bunny has come under fire online after allegedly touching an ancient relic during a visit to a museum.
The 31-year-old Puerto Rican shared the photo via Instagram Stories, appearing to show his palm pressed against an intricately carved stele.
It happened at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, as reported by Need To Know.
The social media account “Terror Museos” shared the image, writing: “How do they handle it at the National Museum of Anthropology when visitors try to get close or touch the pieces?
“Do they let people do it like Bad Bunny did for a photo during his ‘private’ visit?”
Karuza commented: “Anyone with common sense knows that shouldn’t be done, and I’m sure he took full advantage of his ‘celebrity’ status to do it with complete confidence.”

Fernando added: “What do you expect from a reggaeton artist?”
Saminou said: “No way, they won’t even let you breathe that close once security shows up.”
And Itzel asked: “So, does that mean if you’re famous you can get around the rules?”

The backlash prompted the museum to release a statement: “Throughout the tour, museum security was present.
“When the artist placed his hand on the stele, staff reminded him that touching the pieces was not allowed, and he immediately removed his hand.
“As is publicly known, physical contact with archaeological artefacts is prohibited.”
This is not the first time Bad Bunny – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – has sparked controversy.
He previously criticised ICE agents in Puerto Rico, calling them “sons of b*tches” as they arrested mainly Dominican nationals.
And animal rights group PETA condemned him as “cruel and irresponsible” after he rode a live horse onstage during one of his tours.
