A woman dubbed ‘Australia’s most tattooed woman’ has had an implant urgently removed following a ‘mysterious’ health battle.
Amber Luke is well-known for her excessive ink.
The 30-year-old, who is famed for her blue tatted eyes, has been dealing with various ongoing health issues that have remained a ‘mystery’ to medics.

But, after doing some research, the influencer started to put two and two together and realised it was all down to a ‘dodgy’ implant she has in her ears.
Following the realisation, she booked herself in to get it urgently removed – and now, feels back to her usual “ADHD energy”.
“It’s been a really bad journey,” Amber, who has spent £195,000 on her modification journey, told Need To Know.

“My body had started to become lethargic and I lost [a lot] of weight in a month.
“I was sleeping up to four hours throughout the day, when usually, I’m ADHD as hell.
“That wasn’t normal for me.”
Amber, who hails from Brisbane, Australia, initially got the implant done in 2019.
She had been attempting to “pixify” her ears; though claims the process wasn’t done correctly.
The model said: “I think the artist wanted to save money, as they decided to implant food grade silicone – not hospital grade silicone – into my body.

“It was all fine until I started to reject it.
“When I first got it done, the left one rejected within two weeks.
“It pushed itself out of my skin and half hung out of my ear until someone pulled it out and [lots] of yellow fluid came out.”
Luckily, the removal didn’t set her back any funds – or pain – with Amber rating it just a two out of 10.
Today, 48 hours later, she’s already feeling much better and is sharing her story to warn people not to ignore any worrying signs.

She added: “I knew my illness was associated with the implant.
“I went to get my blood taken and my iron levels were perfect; but it showed a large infection throughout my body.
“That was my tell-tale sign.
“I will still get more modifications, though.
“Although extensive research will benefit me immensely next time.”
Amber recently revealed that it’s been 10 years since she last “saw her face”.
She plans to have 36 facial tattoos removed by 2027 and is currently undergoing the painful process; all for free.
