A glam influencer who allegedly belonged to a Marxist rebel group has reportedly been killed in a clash with the army.
The deceased has been identified as Johana Carolina Correa Garzón, known as Kataleya, according to reports.
Her death is said to have occurred during a clash between the military and FARC dissidents last week.

The FARC – Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – formally disbanded as an armed group in June 2017 after signing a historic peace deal in 2016.
Some members, however, refused to disarm and continued their insurgency.
FARC dissidents primarily seek to control territory and profit from drug trafficking and other illegal activities, rather than pursuing the group’s original Marxist goals.

The confrontation reportedly took place in a mountainous area near the borders with Ecuador and Peru, a strategic region for drug trafficking.
Kataleya, from the Putumayo department, had gained popularity on social media for showcasing her life within the dissident group.
Her profiles were offline at the time of writing, but some of her photos continue to circulate online, as reported by Need To Know.
One, showing her in military fatigues, was captioned: “Me in work clothes.”
The tattooed young woman’s alleged activities and death were reported by small local media outlets.
Authorities have yet to release a statement about the clash, though the armed forces are known to conduct constant operations against dissident groups in the area.
Colombian NGO Indepaz estimated the total number of FARC dissidents at around 4,500 in September 2023.
Flavio commented on social media: “Sending strength to the family, comrade. You were a true warrior.”
