A “creepy” influencer has been slammed for freeze-drying her dead dog and displaying it in a glass case – and using the pet for content creation.
Chloe Chung, 31, has come under fire for showing her 140,000 followers how she dealt with her canine’s departure – after claiming she was constantly getting asked this particular question in her DMs.
The honesty backfired as “haters” came out of the woodwork.
Her post has over 94,000 likes, with people sharing their thoughts in the comment section on whether freezing-drying the dog was an appropriate thing to do.
“There’s one million haters but there’s also one million people that either didn’t know about this or want more information,” the influencer, from Los Angeles, told Need To Know.
“I will say this was an extremely hard decision for me because she was my soul dog.
“It was nothing that I went into lightly and I’m glad it really worked out well.
“This was not taxidermy.
“She was freeze dried.”
The post has nearly 5,000 comments from shocked viewers.
Raina said: “Wow am I the only one who thinks this is creepy?”

Danie Marie added: “I don’t think I could do this to my dogs. They deserve dignity once they have passed. They aren’t an accessory to prance around with.”
Someone else said: “This is traumatizing.”
Louis added: “I couldn’t do that, coming home every time and seeing that lifeless body. It would break me too much, constantly reopening the wound. It’s better to keep my dog alive in my memory through videos and photos, but not the kind of thing I could do with a display case.”

But the influencer also got some support.
One fan said: “If it makes you feel better that’s great. No judgment.
“When my furbaby of 20 years passed she instantly felt so many pounds lighter and her soul which is the essence was no longer with the body.
“I did however save a piece of her fur and cremated a lock of my hair with her.”
