Bizarre footage has revealed how a hollering “funeral entertainer” pulled party poppers as devastated mourners looked on, stony-faced.
The performer, known as El Güero Cuevas, could be seen bellowing into a loudspeaker at the wake.
To music, the showman blasted a confetti cannon while the dearly departed’s loved ones remained solemn, wiping away tears.

Dressed in sunglasses and a cowboy hat, Cuevas spun around and clicked his heels before laying a bouquet next to the open coffin.
While many mourners didn’t crack a smile, others filmed Cuevas with their phones and clapped at the unorthodox tribute.
After the applause, he launched into an energetic dance routine beside the casket, perfectly in time with the thumping club music.
Finally, he dropped to his knees, pulled another party popper, and sent a shower of confetti over the coffin.
The surreal scenes unfolded in Tepic in Mexico’s Nayarit state, as reported by Need To Know.
Cuevas, who shared the clip last week, wrote: “We granted one last wish for Miss Perla Anahí.
“For the second time, we surprised her with flowers – only this time it was different, because she’s now in a better place.
“May God keep you in His holy glory, Perla Anahí. Sending strength and my deepest condolences to her entire family.”
Cuevas told his 191,000 Instagram followers he had shared the video “with great respect and with the family’s blessing” – but viewers were divided.
Jordi commented: “No need for the dancing, man.”
Verónica wrote: “If that’s what she wished for and enjoyed, then good for her.”

A third viewer joked: “This is why I only do private family funerals. If anyone pulls this kind of stunt at one of mine… let’s just say there’ll be two funerals happening at once.”
