The museum said the weapons had been buried for decades beneath layers of debris.
Reports by Polish outlet WP Wiadomości and others claim the haul includes around 80 items, as reported by Need To Know.

The stash is believed to contain firearms, ammunition, military equipment and even parts of gas masks.
Experts say the weapons likely date from the First and Second World Wars.
The find was made inside a tenement building currently being transformed into a new museum site.
Archaeologists initially discovered a filled-in section of the basement, which turned out to be a hidden storage area for the arsenal.
Because of the live ammunition risk, strict safety procedures were immediately put in place and authorities were alerted.

Police and heritage officials rushed to the scene, with the items now being carefully catalogued and secured.
Specialists believe even more artefacts could be uncovered as work continues.
The museum confirmed the objects will now undergo conservation and further analysis.
The building is set to become the new home of the Museum of Craft, which showcases the region’s cultural and industrial history.
