The couple’s 20-year-old son, Amir Hossain, remains in intensive care at a hospital in Rome, Italy, under police protection.
He has undergone neurosurgery for a skull fracture with a haematoma, and his prognosis remains guarded. He is conscious and oriented, but his condition remains delicate.
The horror unfolded in a flat on the outskirts of Rome, as reported by Need To Know.
Law enforcement agencies have set up roadblocks and are carrying out checks at train stations, bus terminals, airports and border crossings in a bid to catch Hossain.
The 43-year-old Bangladeshi submitted an application for a residence permit at the Frosinone police headquarters in May 2025.
He has reportedly been in Rome for around six months and has a wife and children living in London. He previously lived for a long period in the UK, according to Italian reports.

Investigators fear he may be attempting to flee to the UK to join them, although they currently believe he is likely still in the Rome area.
Searches are taking place in isolated areas, including abandoned farmhouses on the outskirts of Rome, where he may be hiding while planning his escape.
Investigators are also considering the possibility that he may have taken his own life.
The last known signal from his phone was registered in the early hours of Saturday (27 June) in an area near Rome’s Casalotti district, where the triple murder took place.
It is believed he may have disposed of the device in an attempt to avoid being tracked.
Kamal was reportedly well known and well liked in Casalotti.
Hossain, who lived on a parallel street, had reportedly been frequenting the family’s home for around six months.
Kamal had reportedly asked members of the Bangladeshi community to intervene and persuade him to stop coming to their home and leave his family alone.
Hossain reportedly worked outside a supermarket helping customers with their shopping and asking for tips.
In a local chat within the Bangladeshi community, one user reportedly wrote that he was “very bad especially with women”.
The user added: “I worked with him for 15 days. Fortunately, they removed him after we complained.”
