A politician has been shot dead on the campaign trail as she spoke to voters.
Susy Aponte Polo, known as La China Polo, was gunned down as she handed out leaflets.
The attack was caught on a livestream and left five other people wounded.

Three people are currently being held including the suspected hitman.
The shooting happened at a market in the town of Caraz in Áncash region, Peru, at about 12.40pm on Saturday (19 Sep).
Aponte, 43, was running for regional governor for the Socios por Áncash party in the 4 October elections.
Witnesses said she was shot from behind on Avenida Ramón Castilla as she greeted supporters.
Journalist Víctor Castillo was interviewing her when several shots rang out and she fell to the ground.
The police said five others were hit, including minors, and taken to Hospital San Juan de Dios in Caraz for treatment.
Onlookers helped to pin the main suspect after the shots.
Attorney General Tomás Gálvez said: “The hitman has already been detained.
“A suspected financier has also been detained along with another person who was previously transporting the hitman.”
The police named Venezuelan national Luis Iván Obispo Díaz, 32, as the suspected gunman.
Officers seized a 9mm Glock that was later traced to a theft reported in 2023 by a police officer in Lima.
Ronald José Toro Artila, 29, also Venezuelan, is believed to have booked a hotel and transported the gunman to Caraz.
Prosecutors are treating the case as a contract killing after first opening a femicide file.
Days earlier, Aponte had posted that she was being harassed and that inmates at three prisons had warned her of a planned attack.
“Víctor Revoredo Farfán has ordered an attack on me,” she said, adding that she had already filed a complaint.
Those claims have not yet been proven.
Revoredo has since left his post as head of the police criminal investigation directorate.
Friends played an audio they said she sent the day before, promising a press conference to “hand over all the documents”, as reported by Need To Know.
Aponte ran the online show China Polo Dominical and used it to allege corruption and organised crime.
Vigils and a march were called as homicide teams from Lima joined the investigation.
