Fears are mounting for an influencer who was allegedly kidnapped on holiday over a week ago.
Qi Meng, known online as Tangcu Xiaomeng, disappeared after landing at a major international airport.
The 24-year-old was met outside the terminal by a stranger offering a lift on 2 August.

The stranger claimed to be taking her to another city further north.
Contact with the 24-year-old was lost immediately afterwards.
The Chinese influencer arrived at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand on a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
After being met by the stranger, friends said she may have been tricked by someone she met online.
The young woman was on her first overseas trip.
She had spent about a week in Malaysia before flying on.
Questions remain over whether she travelled alone or with a male acquaintance met online.
It is also unclear if the pickup was arranged in advance or offered by a stranger at the terminal.
One fellow influencer claimed in a live broadcast that the online “friend” arranged the trip and airport pickup.
Her family has grown so anxious over her disappearance that at least one member required hospital treatment.
Chinese embassy officials in Thailand confirmed the case on the evening of 11 August.
They told state media that the family had sought help and promised ongoing support.
Social media was filled with unverified claims that she was taken to a scam compound across the border.
None of these reports has been confirmed by the authorities.
On 12 August, her social media account claimed she was safely back in China after losing her phone.
The post was edited multiple times, comments were deleted, and friends’ requests for a video call went unanswered.
No official confirmation of her safe return has been issued by the embassy, Thai police or her family as of today (13 Aug).
Investigators are focussing on airport CCTV footage, vehicle details, and her last phone signal.
Similar cases involving Chinese figures have raised alarm.
Content creator Athena Liya, 31, vanished three years ago with conflicting reports of her fate.
Businessman Liu Xiuhong, 38, went missing after a similar airport transfer in June this year, as reported by Need To Know.
Experts link the pattern to organised gangs targeting online personalities for forced content or scams.
