A tearful family hired a mariachi band to serenade their dying Golden Retriever the night before she was put to sleep.
The pooch, named Cattaleya, sat calmly outside her home while the musicians played and her owners stroked her head.
Footage showed the band in full traditional dress performing a ballad as the family gathered around the dog for one last goodbye.

The emotional farewell took place in the Colombian capital Bogotá after the dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer and the family decided to end her suffering.
Owners said they had tried everything to save her before arranging the private serenade with the group Mariachi Loco Zipaquirá.
In the video, the lead singer changed a line of the song, Amor Eterno, from “how I wish you would live” to “how I wish you wouldn’t leave,” reducing the family to tears.
Viewers flooded the comments with messages about their own pets and called the gesture pure unconditional love.
The clip, originally shared on TikTok, quickly racked up millions of views and left viewers in floods of tears, as reported by Need To Know.
The post read: “The day before saying goodbye we gave her a private serenade. I miss you so much, Cattaleya.”
Amor Eterno is one of Mexico’s most famous farewell songs, written by Juan Gabriel after the death of his mother and later made a hit by Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal.
The heartbreaking ballad is traditionally played at funerals and memorials across Latin America whenever people want to say goodbye to a loved one.
