Horrific photos have been shared of five kittens stuffed into one pet carrier and abandoned.
The poor mogs were crammed into a tiny 19” carrier and left outside of an animal shelter.
The cats were “overheated, panting, and in critical condition” when staff at Runaways Animal Shelter in Port Richey, Florida, made the heartbreaking discovery.

Luckily, they were spotted in time and have now been nursed back to health – with staff saying they are “lucky to be alive”, following the ordeal.
Now, the kittens are desperately seeking foster homes to help them continue to grow and thrive.
The shelter is at “full capacity” and is urging prospective fosterers to get in touch, reports Need To Know.
The pictures of the terrible state the cats had been left in provoked outcry on social media.
One person commented: “These poor babies. I definitely won’t sleep tonight.”
“I am giving up on the human race,” said another user.
Someone else added: “This is so upsetting.”
Other viewers called it a “nightmare” and a “gut punch” to see.
“This is so awful. Makes me sick,” someone else commented.
A spokesperson for the shelter said: “We found 5 teenage kittens crammed into a tiny 19” carrier left outside our shelter door.
“They were overheated, panting, and in critical condition.
“This heartbreaking and horrific scene is a stark reminder of the urgent need for responsible pet care and the critical role we play in rescuing and rehabilitating these vulnerable animals.
“We are grateful we found them in time and are doing everything we can to nurse them back to health, but we urgently need your help.
“Donations are crucial to providing the medical care, proper nutrition, and comfortable shelter these poor kitties need to recover and thrive.
“Additionally, we are in desperate need of foster homes as our shelter is currently at full capacity, and we weren’t anticipating taking in 5 cats today.
