The WAG of a pro footballer has been arrested for her alleged involvement in an Ocean’s Eleven-style jewellery heist.

A young woman is believed to have been incinerated after climbing into a rubbish container on her way back from a night out.

Forensic analysis will confirm whether bone fragments found at a waste incineration plant belong to Agostina Rubini Medina.

The 24-year-old left her friends in the early hours of 3 October to catch a bus back home, but she never boarded.

The police believe she climbed into a rubbish container next to the bus stop in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The container was emptied into a bin lorry a short while later and the waste was taken to the incineration plant.

Agostina would have arrived dead because it would have been impossible to survive the lorry’s compactor mechanism.

A witness recalled seeing a bag next to the rubbish containers with a blouse that Agostina had been wearing that night.

Her phone emitted signals until it reached the Son Reus waste incineration plant.

The police say all evidence suggests she climbed into the rubbish container of her own accord.

Police chief Ángel Ruiz told local media: “In the tank, there were 12,000 tonnes of waste at the start of the search.

“The waste was incinerated at over 1,200 degrees for an hour, but we hope to sift through it and find traces.”

Agostina was born in Argentina but lived with her family in Palma Nova, Mallorca.

She was studying Social Integration, as reported by Need To Know.

Her parents say her behaviour on 2 October was normal and there had been no arguments or disturbances of any kind.

Ruiz said: “The evidence we have suggests that she climbed into the container to retrieve something that had fallen.

“Only to unfortunately feel unwell inside, likely due to the alcohol.

“It’s possible to get out with minimal effort, at least enough to lift the lid and call for help.

“This leads us to believe that Agostina was inside, unconscious.”
