A woman who says “traditional relationships aren’t working” for her is getting herself an AI boyfriend instead.

Suellen Carey has struggled with dating for some time.

The 36-year-old influencer, who lives in London, claims she is inundated with offers from suitors but no one fits the bill.

So, she’s turning to technology and says that at least this way, she’ll be able to programme the perfect companion – one who never talks back or complains.

“He won’t argue out of jealousy [and] he won’t forget to reply to messages,” Suellen told Need To Know.

“And, of course, he’ll always be available to listen to me without distractions.

“Plus, he’ll never complain about the food or leave a wet towel on the bed.

“My man [won’t] have a mistress, forget important dates, or make excuses.

“After so many disappointments in love, I’m willing to try something different.

“If traditional relationships aren’t working, why not try something new?

“I can’t find the right man, so I’ll have an AI boyfriend.”

The influencer believes this may signify a turning point in her life.

She said: “I was always demanding perfection from myself.

“It was liberating, but also lonely at times.

“Since then, I have been seeking alternative ways to find the ideal partner, and artificial intelligence intrigues me the most.”

This isn’t the first time Suellen has tried a dramatic approach to find a solution to her dating woes.

She has previously hit the headlines for trying sologamy – marrying yourself – but it didn’t work out.

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Suellen now sees technology as an opportunity to celebrate the day in an innovative and special way.

She added: “At least with AI, I can program exactly what I want to hear and avoid the problems I faced before.

“Despite the lack of the physical touch, I believe I can still find emotional satisfaction through a virtual connection.

“For now, I’m fine with [that].

“What matters most to me is having someone, even if virtual, who understands and respects me.

“That’s already more than I’ve had in many real relationships.”
