A dad and son have been rescued after getting trapped on a rock while boogie boarding.
A bystander spotted the pair “drifting north before losing sight of them” on Monday (20 January) afternoon.
Emergency crews, including the fire brigade, arrived at the beach at approximately 12:30pm, as reported by Need To Know.

Coastguards then used a helicopter to send down a rescue team which hoisted the father and son to safety.
It took roughly 12 minutes to make visible contact with the pair, who were stranded on a rock on the north end of Indian beach, in Oregon, US.
The Cannon Beach Fire District said the victims were taken to Ecola State Park where they were evaluated for injuries.
The district has since warned of sneaker waves.
Sneaker waves can rapidly pull individuals into the ocean and unexpectedly sweep them further up the shore, including over rocks and jetties.
When a Beach Hazards Statement is issued, children and pets should be kept close and away from the surf zone, the district said.
“Keep off jetties, rocks and logs near the surf zone. If you see someone swept into the sea do not swim in after them. Call 911 and keep an eye on them until help arrives,” it said in a press release.
In a post shared to Facebook, a video was attached of the rescue.
An aircraft can be seen hovering over the boy, his dad and their boards before lowering down a rescue team.
They then attach the two to the hoist before bringing them back up.
As they fly away, rough waves can be seen in the distance.
