A one-legged crook was caught on camera hopping into a service station booth and rummaging around for loot.

Bizarre CCTV footage shows how he hopped into the cubicle with his crutches under his arm after checking it was empty.

He could be seen fumbling around drawers and shelves in a bid to find things to steal.

At one point, he hopped back towards the exit, where his pet dog was waiting, to check that the coast was still clear.

He then got back to work before stuffing something down his trousers and hopping back out on Monday (24 Feb) morning.

Noelia was the lone worker on duty at the time and she noticed something moving in the booth, where employees’ belongings are kept.

She went over to fetch her phone to send a message to her daughter to tell her what she’d seen.

But by that point, the crook – and her mobile – had gone.

Local media say the one-legged crook also took 8,000 ARS (£6) with him as he left the booth in San Lorenzo, Argentina.

The police were alerted and it didn’t take officers long to find him from his description, as reported by Need To Know.

The man – identified as 45-year-old Marcos Alberto R. from Rosario – was arrested and taken to the police station.
