A stranded donkey has been saved after falling into a 3-foot deep moat filled with murky water.
Blossom got herself trapped in the man-made trench after accidentally straying from her drive.
The 18-year-old donkey was unable to pull itself out of the water due to the high banks.

Fortunately for the farm animal, firefighters attended the scene to pull her out to safety.
Equipped in waterproof gear, the rescue team waded into the moat to get to Blossom.
Once they had calmed the distressed donkey down, the firefighters attached a harness to the animal.

The 18-year-old was safely led from the water back to land.
Fire Control and crews from Baldock and Hatfield attended the rescue mission.
The animal was reunited with her drove of 12 donkeys, as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue said: “Fire Control and crews from Baldock and Hatfield recently helped rescue 18-year-old Blossom the donkey.
“Who was stuck in over 3 ft of water in a moat.
“Using teamwork and animal rescue equipment, Blossom was safely led from the water and reunited with her drove of 12 donkeys.

“Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work.”
Members of the public applauded the firefighters’ work.
Nickie Meadows said: “Donkey was found in Shrek’s swamp.”
Alister Gibbons added: “Probably was looking for Shrek.”
