Twitch streamer Nina Lin was arrested during New York Knicks’ championship celebrations after footage appeared to show her climbing on to an Amazon delivery vehicle in Manhattan.
Videos shared online showed Lin, who streams under the name NinaDaddyisBack, sitting on top of the vehicle as crowds gathered around her following the Knicks’ NBA Finals victory.
FreedomNewsTV reported that the incident happened at around 9.30pm near Bryant Park on 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue.
Footage circulating on social media appeared to show police surrounding the vehicle before detaining Lin.
The streamer was later released with a desk appearance ticket, according to US reports.
On 14 June, she posted a TikTok video of herself outside an NYPD building, wearing a New York Knicks jersey and holding bright yellow nunchucks.
The clip was captioned: “WE FREEE YURRRRRRR”.
The arrest came as thousands of fans flooded the streets of New York after the Knicks secured their first NBA championship since 1973, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game Five of the NBA Finals.
The celebrations sparked huge crowds around Madison Square Garden and across Manhattan as supporters marked the end of the franchise’s 53-year wait for a title, as reported by Need To Know.
Lin, who has more than 537,000 followers on Twitch, is known for her IRL livestreams and has built a large online following through public broadcasts.
Videos of the arrest quickly spread across social media and were widely discussed on Reddit forum r/LivestreamFail.
One user commented: “Why is she back.”
Another wrote: “Wow what an incredible lack of basic judgment.”
A third added: “Lmao now throw away the key.”
The incident is the latest controversy involving Lin.
In October 2025, she and fellow streamer Zoe Spencer were banned from Twitch following backlash over a resurfaced clip involving another creator’s assistant.
At the time of writing, no further information had been released about whether any additional action would be taken following Saturday night’s incident.
The Knicks are expected to celebrate their historic title with a championship parade in New York later this week.
