A police dog who served with gun cops for 12 years has retired.
PD Echo has hung up his harness but some of his offspring are set to take over.
The Belgian Shepherd has served as a Firearms Support Dog and also doing General Purpose jobs.
His puppy sons PD Quake, PD Viper and PD Blaze have all now started in the dog unit.
The trio of brothers are all fully trained and are licensed as firearms support dogs.
The animal worked in the dog unit for the Cumbria Police, based in Penrith.

Echo ended his career on Wednesday (1 Oct), as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson for the Cumbria Police stated: “After years of dedicated service, PD Echo is hanging up his harness and stepping into his retirement.
“Echo has served Cumbria as both a General Purpose and Firearms Support Dog, showing bravery and loyalty every step of the way.
“He’s also had a litter of puppies which we bred here at Cumbria Police, with some of those following in his footprints and being police dogs themselves.

“His handler describes him as a joy to handle and to work alongside.
“Thank you for everything, RPD Echo.
“Enjoy your well-earned retirement.”
