A rapper has died after suffering three cardiac arrests.
Danilo Mariano Leão Laureano, known as MC Danilo Boladão, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday (11 Mar).
His widow, Thays Kolben, told local media he had woken up feeling unwell and short of breath at around 3am.

After asking neighbours for help, they took the singer to an emergency care unit in Santos, Brazil.
“When we got there, he had already had one cardiac arrest. Then he had two more,” she explained.
Danilo died at around 4:40am, aged 47.
The rapper had suffered complications from diabetes since 2006, as reported by Need To Know.

He had undergone several amputations to his lower limbs over the years, including toes and part of his heel.
Despite this, his wife said his heart had been fine and he had been feeling well in recent days.
“It was all very sudden, out of nowhere. No one was expecting it,” Thays said.
“He had an infection, took antibiotics for 10 days and was doing really well. He repeated the tests and everything was normal, everything stable.”
Doctors told Thays the heart attack may have been caused by a thrombosis. Post-mortem results are awaited to confirm this.
A rapper and songwriter, Danilo had more than 100,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing.

Raised in modest surroundings among the grey tower blocks of a housing complex, he later turned those experiences into songs.
He was well known in the local “favela funk” scene and was considered one of its pioneers as part of the duo Danilo e Fabinho with his childhood friend.
His music career was interrupted when he was imprisoned, but he made a memorable comeback alongside Fabinho shortly after leaving jail in 2004.
The pair later pursued solo careers but recently reunited for a tour celebrating 30 years of their musical journey.
Danilo lived in the same housing complex until his death.
Fabinho shared a photo of himself hugging Danilo, captioned: “What kind of pain is this?”
Danilo is survived by Thays, an 18-year-old daughter from a previous marriage and a grandson.
