A popular YouTuber has been found dead after disappearing while travelling.

The Polish influencer, who amassed over 455,000 subscribers on YouTube, had travelled to Croatia in mid-March for seasonal work purposes.

The Polish police issued a public appeal for information at the end of April, noting that the 23-year-old was believed to have been in the Croatian capital Zagreb.
Intensive searches involving family, friends and fans followed, with widespread appeals circulating on social media.
On 7 May, the Croatian authorities confirmed the grim discovery of his body in a river near the capital.

Marzena Szwed, spokeswoman for the police in Nikodem’s home city Gliwice, confirmed that he had been identified as the victim.
She added that, because the influencer passed away in Croatia, the local authorities there are responsible for the ongoing investigation.
Marzena told Polish media: “The incident took place in the territory of Croatia, therefore the competent authorities to conduct investigations and make decisions in this case are the Croatian services and institutions.”
Details of the cause or circumstances of death have not been publicly released.
An autopsy is scheduled to establish his exact cause of death and to determine if a third-party was involved.
Polish officials have confirmed they are in active contact with their Croatian counterparts to facilitate the necessary legal and forensic procedures.

A spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they are providing “comprehensive consular assistance” to the bereaved family throughout the repatriation process.
A crowdfunding campaign was launched by his family this week to raise funds to repatriate his body back to Gliwice, as reported by Need To Know.
Bartosz Czyżewski, the victim’s cousin, issued an emotional appeal for support during what he called “the most difficult moment” for the family.
The YouTuber first gained internet fame through viral ‘diss tracks’ and satirical comedy videos, amassing nearly half a million followers on YouTube and 13,000 on Instagram.
Tributes from across the Polish creator community have been shared widely, marking a sombre end to a search that saw thousands of followers sharing appeals for information.
The investigation remains open as local authorities await the results of the toxicology and forensic reports from the Zagreb coroner’s office.
