A mum-of-three was shot dead in a seemingly random act of violence over a purchase worth just £1.20.
Alexis Hill, 44, was working as a store manager when a customer approached the checkout carrying a pack of hamburger buns costing £1.20 (around $1.58).
Police say the man handed over two crumpled $1 bills before suddenly pulling out a handgun and opening fire.

Hill was fatally wounded and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Jerome Willis, fled the scene but was tracked down by police less than two hours later.

Authorities say he then shot a police K-9 and wounded an officer before officers returned fire, killing him, as reported by Need To Know.
According to investigators, Hill and Willis did not know each other and no motive has yet been released.
Friends described Hill as a hardworking and positive woman who was devoted to her job.
Her brother, Jonathan Hill, said: “She can’t be replaced. It’s a loss that I’m going to have to deal with, and the family is going to have to deal with.”
A fundraising page launched by relatives describes Hill as a “beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and member of our family” and says her sudden death has left loved ones heartbroken.

Police say Willis was located in a parking lot after the shooting. When officers attempted to arrest him, he allegedly ignored commands before opening fire.
A police dog named Havoc and one officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer is expected to recover, while Havoc underwent treatment and surgery.
The shooting happened on 23 June at a Dollar General store in Columbus, Georgia.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is examining the subsequent officer-involved shooting.
