London Zoo has shared adorable photos of its new Sumatran tiger cub, marking the year of the tiger for the Chinese new year.
The seven-week-old critically endangered Sumatran tiger, named Loki in an online vote, has been confirmed to be male by the Zoo’s tiger keepers.

In the heartwarming gallery of snaps, you can see the stripy cub practicing his roar while tentatively exploring the outside world.
In some, Loki can be seen cuddling up to his mum Gaysha for a tender moment in the soft straw of their cosy indoor dens.
Kathryn Sanders, from ZSL London Zoo, said: “Those born in the Year of the Tiger are said to possess traits such as bravery, strength and self-confidence and Loki is definitely starting to show all of these.
“He’s a strong youngster who has mum Gaysha and dad Asim wrapped around his little paw already.
“He’s definitely found his voice and is squealing constantly for attention – whether he wants a feed, a snuggle or a good lick wash from his attentive parents.”
Visitors will be able to find Loki, Gaysha and Asim in Tiger Territory, where you can look out for the cub exploring more of his new home.
