As the sheep turn to walk away, the large snake suddenly emerges from the river.
The reptile grabs one of the sheep by its hind leg and drags it into the water.
At the same time, the deadly snake coils itself around its prey’s body.
The predator then drowns the sheep in the river as it tries to fight for life.
It happened in Pantanal, southwest of Brasilia, Brazil, as reported on Need To Know.
It is the world’s largest inland wetland and a wildlife haven.
One local said: “The anaconda killed the grandma.”
Another wrote: “Nature really is a spectacle.”
Valdo commented: “How could the cameraperson see the anaconda and not move the sheep?”
Diego joked: “Mutton is really good, I don’t judge the anaconda.”
This massive wetland is also home to the largest concentration of crocodiles in the world.
