An emotional video of a man being reunited with his beloved dogs in flood-hit Brazil has touched the hearts of thousands.
The man’s furry companions went missing after heavy rainfall and burst river banks hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul last week.
Around 150 people have died and more than half a million have been forced from their homes.

One victim lost his pets while escaping the rising water levels, as reported by Need To Know.
But after searching for them in a boat, a rescue team struck gold.
Touching footage of the reunion was shared online with the caption: “Rescued man reunited with his dogs in the flood-hit Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.”
The man can be seen sat in the boat, frantically hugging and stroking his pups with tears rolling down his face.
One person said: “The dogs hugged that man tightly, not wanting him to leave again.
A most precious feeling that deserves to be respected.”

Officials are also urging those who have been rescued from the floods not to return to their homes, warning that more rain is forecast.
