The flower pots are being made at category D mens open prison North Sea Camp.
Ex-Tory politician Jeffrey Archer served time there in 2001 and 2002.
He was jailed for perjury and perverting the court of justice.
The flowers will be put on display in nearby Boston, Lincolnshire.
The project was a joint idea from the prison, the Boston Borough Council and the Lincolnshire police.
Since starting the prisoners have put together 88 items that feature across the local area.
Prisoners have had access to the project due to funding by the Lincolnshire Serious Crime Fund.
The aim of the fund is to promote a non-violent culture and to address the root causes of violence in the county.
Alongside the flurry of flowers popping up in the town additional CCTV cameras have been installed.
More street rangers have been recruited and an effort to improve street cleaning has been put in place, as reported by Needs To Know.
Richard Nethercott the chief inspector said: “Environmental factors affect decisions by those who are considering committing a crime.
“If an area is run down, it is more likely to encourage people to break the law.
“Enhancing these spaces will make them feel safer and discourage criminal activity.”
