A wealthy entrepreneur has acquired one of the rarest Ferraris on the market, but he won’t be taking it out for a drive anytime soon.
Luis Pérez Companc, a 52-year-old from Argentina, has purchased a Ferrari 499P Modificata, an enhanced version of the 499P that recently secured victories in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans races.

As one of the heirs to the Pérez Companc family fortune, the Argentine businessman was eligible to buy this luxury vehicle due to his membership in the Corse Clienti program, an exclusive initiative reserved for Ferrari’s most elite customers.
He received his new prized possession at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy, a track owned by Ferrari.
Unfortunately for Pérez, his high-end 499P Modificata is not street legal. He’ll only be able to drive it during official test sessions organized by Ferrari at Fiorano and select circuits worldwide.
The customized 499P Modificata features a 3.0-liter hybrid V6 engine capable of delivering up to 870 horsepower, with a total weight of just one metric ton (1,000 kilograms).
The cockpit has been meticulously tailored to match Pérez’s exact body dimensions.
According to Luxury Auto News, Pérez has been involved in rallying and racing since 2001, achieving notable victories such as the class win at the Spa 24 Hours in 2009, as well as triumphs in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2013 and 2014.
While Ferrari has yet to disclose the official sale price of this vehicle, its value is estimated to exceed £3.9 million ($5 million).
