An OAP author’s mutilated body has been found four years after a fellow writer was raped and killed in the same small town.
Doris Cappenberg, who wrote three books on spirituality, suddenly disappeared at the beginning of the month.
The 85-year-old’s mutilated remains were found in bin bags and dumped near a river.

The spot was about five miles from her home in the mountain town of Capilla del Monte in northern Argentina.
Cappenberg was allegedly killed in the same area as fellow writer Cecilia Basaldúa in April 2020.
Cappenberg, who came from Córdoba about 60 miles away, moved to the small town about 10 years ago.
The authorities believe she may have been killed during a robbery.
They said she planned to undergo an eye operation in Córdoba and had withdrawn a large sum of cash from her bank to pay for it.
Following an autopsy on her remains, the Public Prosecutor’s Office said her body showed clear signs of torture.
On Tuesday (17 Sept), the police announced that two suspects, aged 26 and 24, have been arrested for Cappenberg’s murder.
They rented a property she owned in Capilla del Monte, the police said.
The investigation into her death last Fri (13 Sept) is ongoing.
Cappenberg was a devotee of Sai Baba of Shirdi, an Indian spiritual master who is revered by both Hindus and Muslims.
Her three books recounted her trips to India and devotion to his teachings.
The Sai Baba Uriarte Centre in Buenos Aires said: “It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our dear sister Doris Cappenberg.
“Doris had a lovely, joyful and luminous spirit and we will always remember her as such.
“She left us, among other things, three books as a beautiful legacy: ‘Satsang’, ‘Vínculos’ and ‘Hágase Tu Voluntad’, in which she shares anecdotes and experiences of her spiritual path and travels to India.”
Cappenberg was allegedly killed in the same area as fellow writer Cecilia Basaldúa in April 2020.
Basaldúa’s alleged rape and murder remains unsolved.
The case is being handled by the same prosecutors as those involved in Cappenberg’s death.
Basaldúa, 35, who came from Buenos Aires, was travelling around Latin America and writing a book about her experiences when the Covid-19 pandemic struck.
Staying in Córdoba at the time, she decided to rent a property in Capilla del Monte to finish writing her book in the picturesque mountain spot.
She mysteriously disappeared on 5 April 2020 and her body was found near the river 20 days later.
The authorities said she had been raped and strangled to death.
A defendant was tried for her murder in July 2022, but was acquitted of all charges, as reported by Need To Know.
Her family said at the time: “At the trial it was clear he had nothing to do with it, he was what you would call a ‘patsy’.”
