“I don’t shy away from it.
“It’s like if you don’t accept it that’s your loss but I’m a fun, wild girl.”
But her participation on the BBC One show has been controversial given she’s been dancing since the age of five and taken part in competitions.
In 2019 she demonstrated her abilities starring as iconic superhero Wonder Woman in a stage production at performing arts college Creative Academy where she was a student.
George Kirkham Principal of Creative Academy in Slough, Berkshire paid tribute to her as reported by Need To Know.
“The Creative Academy is very proud of Tasha and all her achievements during her time studying with us and her successes since graduation,” he said.
“She is a wonderful person.
“Her kindness, dedication and hard work will be excellent transferable skills to use on the country’s top programme Strictly Come Dancing.
“The CA family wishes her well and will all be voting for Tasha.
“She is our Wonder Woman.”
Tasha’s parents learned she was deaf when she was just 12-months od and she had years of speech therapy.
She first came to national prominence in 2022 as a contestant on Love Island.
