A plucky pit bull saved the day when it killed a king cobra after it slithered into a family home.
Footage shows how the powerful dog gripped the reptile between its jaws.
It thrashed its head around in a bid to kill the hapless snake, which ended up completely limp.

The killer 5ft-long snake got into the home’s garden as two brothers, aged eight and 10, were playing just yards away at the time.
They screamed when they spotted the terrifying serpent in Jhansi, south-southeast of Agra, India on Tuesday (24 Sept).
On hearing their screams, the family’s pet dog, Jenny, broke free from its leash and sprinted towards the king cobra.
It held the reptile between its jaws for five agonising minutes.
The snake eventually died from the trauma it sustained.
Jenny’s owner, Punjab Singh, says the pit bull has killed around eight to 10 snakes – which often appear during the monsoon season – so far.
He told local media: “If the snake had entered the house, anything could have happened.
“I wasn’t home, but my son and the children were. Jenny saved their lives.”
Singh went on: “People often say negative things about pit bulls, but mine has never harmed anyone.
“If Jenny hadn’t killed the snake, a tragedy could have occurred. She saved lives and earned our gratitude.”
India banned importing, selling, and breeding pit bulls in March, as reported by Need To Know.
King cobras are venomous and prey chiefly on other snakes.
However, they may attack people when they feel cornered, in self-defence, or to protect their eggs.
King cobras kill about five people worldwide each year.
