A stray dog who went viral for doing a wee on the red carpet at a film festival has found his forever home.
The dog, named Cácaro by the organisers, went viral on social media when he ‘attended’ the entire event on 18 October.
No one in attendance wanted to shoo the pooch away, so it was allowed to remain at the festival in peace.

The organisers made sure there was enough food and water and he was even allowed into one of the screenings.
At one point during the event, Cácaro was caught on camera doing a wee on the red carpet.
Amused staff members simply looked on as he did his business and trotted off.
After the clips of Cácaro’s antics went viral, social media users expressed their hope that he would find a home.
The Morelia International Film Festival’s director, Daniela Michel took him to the vet, where he was bathed and dewormed.
Immediately afterwards, he was put up for adoption in the Mexican city.
It didn’t take long for a man to come forward and offer Cácaro a new home, as reported by Need To Know.

The festival’s social media team wrote on 22 October: “Yep, that’s me – and I bet you’re wondering how I ended up here. Well, here’s my story.
“One day, I was taking my usual midday nap when some people came over to pet me, and I got so excited.
“So excited, in fact, that I had a little accident on the red carpet! Ha ha!

“People even started playing with me because they were having a great time too.
“After that, a kind lady named Daniela gave me some food and invited me to watch a film.
“I didn’t know what that was, but I had an amazing time getting petted and even taking a little nap.
“Everyone seemed so happy. They even took photos of me – looking handsome, if I say so myself! I felt like I’d found a beautiful family.

“But that wasn’t even the best part. The best part was when they told me someone wanted to take me home. I got so excited!
“Daniela took me to the vet to check my health and gave me a bath so I’d be all ready for my new human.
“The next day, I dashed off to meet my new family.
“Thank you, FICM, for looking after me and finding me such a wonderful home.”
