An ex-politician has died after being repeatedly stung by a swarm of bees on his own farm.
Footage shows Francisco Eudes Alves Gomes trying to brush the insects away as they buzz around his face and land on his T-shirt.
Gomes, 70, had taken a tractor to his farm to clear a patch of land so he could plant more avocados, according to his family.

As the land was being cleared on Thursday (9 Jan), the vehicle struck a tree which was home to a beehive.
Dozens of bees to attacked the former councillor and businessman.
Gomes, who was better known as Eudim Pirrita, was taken by locals to A&E in nearby Tianguá, Brazil.
He received urgent medical help but he died from anaphylactic shock, as reported by Need To Know.
High doses of bee venom can trigger anaphylaxis, even in people without a known allergy.
Gomes served as a councillor in Tianguá – in the interior of the north-eastern state of Ceará – for four non-consecutive terms.
His final term ran from 2013 to 2016.
He is known to have been an ally of left-wing Brazilian president Lula da Silva and of former left-wing president Dilma Rousseff.
A local government spokesperson wrote: “In this time of mourning, we extend our heartfelt condolences and solidarity to all his family and friends.
“May they find comfort and strength to overcome this moment of grief.”
