A Ferris wheel pod has fallen from a height and crashed to the ground at an amusement park.
The pod, which detached from the giant ride, was empty but dropped onto two others, carrying five tourists.
All five visitors were rushed to hospital for precautionary medical checks but were discharged after examinations confirmed they hadn’t suffered any serious injuries.

The victims included four primary school children and a woman in her forties.
Park operators immediately suspended the ride and announced they carried out detailed safety inspections in cooperation with the equipment manufacturer.
No other rides at the park were affected.
The incident occurred at Gyeongju World amusement park in Gyeongju, South Korea, yesterday morning (9 Jul).
The attraction, known as the Time Rider, is a 51-metre wheel that opened in June 2025 and features both fixed and mobile gondolas, as reported by Need To Know.

The five people affected have returned home after hospital checks, according to officials.
A park spokesperson confirmed the ride remains closed pending the full outcome of the safety investigation.
Renewed calls have emerged for stricter regulatory oversight of amusement park rides following the event.
The authorities stated that, given the absence of major casualties, it would be difficult to impose administrative penalties or pursue criminal liability against the operators under current laws.
However, the park has pledged full cooperation with any further probes into the cause of the detachment.
