A model has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison for glassing a woman in a restaurant bathroom.
The assault happened when Fernanda Bonito jumped the queue for the women’s toilets in the upscale eatery.
Witnesses told police how the model engaged in a physical altercation with property consultant Milka Borges.

As Borges was picking up her belongings, Bonito grabbed a glass from her boyfriend’s hand and threw it at her face.
The property consultant was left with a cut face and the bathroom floor was left covered in her blood.
She needed 90 stitches and was disfigured for months after the attack at the Jockey Club de São Paulo, Brazil.
The judge said: “It was proven that the person who started the verbal and physical assault was the defendant.
“The victim was squatting when she was hit with a glass, so if there had been any aggression on her part, it had already stopped.
“Therefore, what followed was an act of revenge, not self-defence.”
Judge Fernanda Helena Benevides Dias said Bonito had refused to queue for the bathroom because her boyfriend owned the restaurant.
She also dismissed the defence’s claim that the model had acted in self-defence after being “choked” by Borges.
Borges’s lawyer, Carolina Fichmann, said: “The judge’s ruling is flawless and a victory for truth over arrogance.
“There is no longer any room in Brazilian society for arrogance. Equality is supreme.”
Borges herself told local media: “Even now, I still do physiotherapy and therapy to reduce the damage from the assault.
“There are many lasting effects on my face and the psychological and emotional toll as well, but we’re really glad to receive this decision.”
As a first-time offender, Bonito may begin her sentence in a semi-open facility, meaning she will be able to leave for work during the day.
She may appeal the ruling, which was delivered by the São Paulo court on 8 January, at liberty, as reported by Need To Know.
A lawsuit for compensation is still ongoing in a civil court and involves Bonito’s husband, Rodrigo Lima.
Borges is seeking about 800,000 BRL (£107,730) to cover her medical and therapy bills.
The attack happened in 2020.
